Have you been watching Alice on SyFy, based off Alice and Wonderland leaning towards the book? Do you like it? How does it compare to Tin Man? In Socresone, the actor who plays Alice, really just a clone of Vanessa Carlton? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanessa_Carlton How did that cat's fur get so long? and did you like that chesire grin? Answer these and ask your own!

It looks pretty good! I've been wanting to catch it for a while. Who ever conceptualized that remake was a beast! Pure genius!

Yeah, its pretty good and very interesting. Whoever conceptialized it was indeed a beast. The whole thing is prolly on tonight, they showed the first half yesterday and the last half is today. The first half is on again tonight before the last half, they like to do that. dunno when they'll have it on again after that though.... hmm, ah, looked it up. the whole thing appears on again dec 13 at 5 eastern. hope you can catch it tonight.

hatter, though the most out of character, was my favorite lol. I loved his little tricks to fight people. And his fight with march hare was a nice touch.
And alice's actress is totaly a clone of vanessa carlton
as for similarites with tinman..err.. They both refered to the original story character as a girl of legend. both overused flashbacks..
I noticed alice had alot more fun with costumes then tin man though. Like the catipilars segmeted cloak, the suits wearing suits with there numbers on them, and er..there were some others but im drawing a blank..
I liked all the allusions to the book/movie too. like "I wonder what tart my little boy has been playing with" or however she phrased it..I knew tart was in it..when in the book Jack of Hearts was set on trial to look after tarts. And as mentioend before, march hares and hatters fight had some, there were were alot more in there that im sure you noticed.
I wish they had "dina" or whatever she named the chesire cat in it more..specially since they turned her into a ghost kitty..or maybe she was just a halucinating..

my favorite character was the knight, overall he was just hilarious. that actor is good at playing such roles, he was in eureka originally but disappeared after a season with no explanation and was rather funny there too.
indeed, although the flashbacks in tin man made a lot more sense, the one's in alice weren't really necessary. other similarities between them were mostly in the style of how they were done and having allusions and then how things had progressed to be much worse than when the original girls of legend had gone there.
yeah, a lot more colorful and creative costumes, overall I think the usage in both worked well. alice having a lot more costumes makes sense with a lot more opportunity for there to be so with so many different characters
indeed, the white rabbit complaining about how he didn't have time to quabble for the ring with alice alluding to how he's late and can't chat needing to meet the queen. quite a few allusions there and all good. hmm, prolly more allusions in alice than there were in tin man.
hmm, yeah, I think the chesire cat could've been in it more and was kind of sad that it only appeared in her dream, which I think it was a dream because after hiking away she stopped and sat down against the tree then saw "dina" and chased it all the way to the house and then ends up waking up back against that same tree. though I'm not sure what the purpose of that dream/flashback was... other than telling you alice once had a cat that ended up leaving her alone and scared

yeah, the knight was really well played. Is he realy that old of an actor or was it just make up? I couldnt really tell lol. Wonder if his gote was real too. I also liked how they kept up his link-like trait from the book and carried a ton of unnecessary supplies with just his armor lol. Like how he had an entire camp set up and a fire going when he washed ashore.
yeah..I thought that too about the flash backs..TinMans were a major part of the story. Alices..didnt make any sense?..like they coulda had a flash back of them when dina died as they explained it all near the end. That woulda atleast been more interesting then..Alice looking for her dad for like 20 seconds then never going back to the flash back again?..
yeah. It took me a while to notice the rabbit had his hair done to look like ears too lol.. Yeah..Tin Man seemed to be more original then Alice..well no thats not worded right..Seemed to be more of its own world then Alice?..I dunno how to word what im thinking lol nvm
Yeah I thought the purpose of the flash back was just to introduce dina, so when the dad brought it up again it wouldnt just be like huh?..and to include the Chesire Cat. Cause 90% of the people I know, when they think of Alice in Wonderland think of Chesire Cat and later wana play krokae (if you never played, its actully really fun) and they sorta had hatter/jack take the cats place in the story. Since the cat guides alice places generally, but people were already doing that, and alice was never alone except in the begining.

hmm, well he is older, dunno if he is as old as portrayed there though. think it was right around his age so his prolly younger than he looked but not much. yeah, was pretty awesome, everyone should travel that way lol
indeed, tin man's all made sense and most were necessary really. but in alice it was just that, the random I'm a kid at home searching once after seeing the chesire and then again at the start of tweedle d and tweedle dums interrogation and didn't make much sense. I mean if there was more to them like you said where you see the cat die and her dad hold her near the end as like the dad remembers it would've been better but even that wouldn't be essential.
lol, yeah at first I didn't recognize that until I saw the white rabbit words on the scarab as the logo for his oyster hunting party. hmm, dunno how you'd word that... but I get what you mean lol
yeah... that may indeed be the only reason they really had the pointless flashbacks, just to throw in the chesire cat. the cat's role was really minimized. krokae with the balls and sticks and hitting throw the tunnle things? if that then yup. I thought the cat would show up more too, especially after its first appearance, I mean she'd left everyone else behind and was alone but then... nope

yeah lol. wed get super muscaler in no time, and be able to face on evil sfutt like link!
Well..tweedle d and tweedle dums sorta made sense..Since they were messing with her head trying to get her to crack so they were just screwing with her..Since they were interfearing with the memorys to try to lower her gaurd..but yeah..there sceene was..odd..and coulda been alot better..
lol
i dunno how its spelled but yeah..kinda like mini golf, only you go threw tunnle rings you set up however you like and hit the stake in the ground
Though i do like that hatter had such a big roll, when usually hes only in for the tea party lol..kinda wish his and march hares confrintation went on for alot longer..Though now i kinda wonder how March Alice (tim burtons) will be, since so far they have johny depp as the cover character being the Hatter too. Surely they wont say "Staring Johny Depp" if hes only in one or two sceenes..

yeah! woundn't that be fun? lol
hmm, yeah, the appearing as a little kid when it started was weird though. could've been better, ah well. least the cat was in it than not in it.
that sounds like the game yupyup
the hatter did fit in quite well, without him it just wouldn't have been the same. hmm, yeah there wasn't much to that confrontation other than the line between them and the start of their fight and then the next you see of hatter is he's fine and who knows what happened to march hare.
hmm, haven't heard of that one but yeah, doubt he'd just get a minor role... wonder how the two will compare.

well usually sci fi movies sometimes imitate real movies plots. like i am legend has a sci fi version which was practically the same title, I am Omega... so maybe they will have similarities too and the actor playing the knight is in his 50s i think. i didn't really like Alice as much though... lol (the actor) hatter had some awesome moves... but how'd he defeat the assasin so easily

hmm, yeah, that could be though most of the time I though the syfy ones come out later?
yeah, somehow hatter defeats the great march killer appearing later without a scratch... maybe he used his chair and made march lose his footing and fell and broke the cookie jar... *shrugs*

I am omega..havnt heard of it lol. Was it based on the will smith one or one of the older ones?
Alices actor was kinda..bland compaired to the others..Its not that she was awful, but like she never sounded scared, never sounded happy, and never sounded sad..plus the whole "Rar! I got a black belt!" was kinda..weird lol
And its a Tim Burton movie..they probably been making it for like 10 years, so the sy fy one finished alot faster
I loved when hatter tossed his hat and caught it before bunching the guy lol
