yupyup
indeed, stop motion is a ton of work... in reality if you want it to look good you have to do at least 30 shots for each second, which is why in that vid a couple of spots look off because I think he just reused the same shot for too many frames

their eppies are stop motion o.O
yupyup, same principal of where the brain can't keep up with everything that the eye actually sees so when one image quickly flips to the next they blur together

probably. lol. or they were inspired by those old toys that you see at craft fairs.. that you can make them spin around and the images blur together.

well..he spin toys were created by modifying oriental paper fans, which blurred images. probably by that means the spinning things came first via the fan, though i think we had flip books a bit before we open trade with china and the like, so probably flip books to the western world.

well actully, ive seen pics of people do that kinda..like in lucky star, and haurhi, and other type animes, have people in the story lines that are otaku, or work in a otaku store, and thus are shown in the anime or manga cosplaying at some point, and people will cosplay as the character cosplaying..So if you ever see someone cosplaying haruhi with blue hair they were probably cosplaying konata <.<
