he recemended me using a specific sheen,I forget which it had a weird name lol, and said hed need to water it down a bit or itd be too thick, but then said it would be cheaper for me to buy modeling paint which is already made that way at a hobby store so you guys were right xP
Technical reasoning: Cause when your a empirer silver is more professional looking then white and red Real Reasoning: The modelers painting the ships in the original few movies were too busy with the sets and large number of tie fighters and x wings, to paint the large star destroyer colorfully, so instead they just took a can of shiny silver spray paint and went kzzzzzzzzz all over it and said there, it looks fancy.

lol, yeah, don't want it thick, some peoples it is too thick so they must've tried it that way. ?? hmm, did you mean the look differences between older and newer? the newer imperial ones were different to stand apart as being imperial and no longer old republic with crisper, stronger lines and then some modifications to make the ship better and more practical like not having to open the entire top of the hull to send out fighters and stronger deflector shields ooh, a nice cobblestone path www.flickr.com/photos/thebricktime/4230660335/sizes/l/in/pool-92999510@N00/

indeed, pretty awesome it is. prolly had a lot of trial and error I'd imagine to get its look just right so a long time definately and that'd be a whole lot of pieces, more than shown in the images. yeah, prolly got as many pics as possible and I'd guess he went and found the schematics for it somewhere to make its scale correct

yeah, would cost a bundle to do any big projects with lego, hundreds of dollars for even something small so I'd guess that ship there alone cost around 800. rofl, especially if he eats half he buys yupyup xD mmm lego parts. tasty they are.

judging from the faces in some of th other shots, he might have painted them himself, though my guess would be from the really old snow sets, since they havnt used those peices for a long time. I like the base on it alot though..
the force really is magic!

hmm, no white versions of those pieces recently indeed, various green ones used a lot though
indeed, the base is really nice, reminds me of the base of the most expensive lego chess set only underneath and more of a design rather than a place to stick pieces and look neat.
indeedicals poyo! =D
