i always hated allys in that game..they just wanted resources and never helped you..atleast in TA you could capture them

indeed, the allies were only useful in building your bases in or behind theirs so you could let them get beaten up and destroyed as a decoy while you amassed armies. but yeah, in TA you could not only do that but you could take their stuff too and they never whined about resources... which is why in swgb I liked it with the expansion pack and thatsnomoon code which I'd then use to blow them up. lol

though the npcs had better ai in swgb. In ta all they did was overpopulate and mob, in swgb they would defend resurces and there base

lol, overpopulating with oddly placed metal extrators ftw! though their overpopulating method could be very effective. but yeah, in swgb they'd not only overpopulate but actually defend resources. though I think the TA ones were more relentless when they find you, though their relentlessness would focus mostly on one target

yeah, TA could get hard on skrimish. Especially if you had two npcs that were allied with eachother and they found you. Then again, you always got that one random ai, who thought it would be a good idea to build a water base on a level with just one tiny little pond or river, then not build anything else because it got stuck in the not enough room to build loop, but continued to try. Though ever notice how npcs refused to use hovercraft, and rarely used t2 aircraft? Not that i blame them for not using hovercrafts..seriously other then maybe that one speedy one I think arm has for scouting if for some reason you cant build aircraft, but pelicans and gimps were so much cuter, and crocs and arms crocs were better then any hovercraft.

indeed, two or three against you could get interesting. lol, that was always hilarious to see them build those water bases... but also annoying when you'd go to destroy them because the stuff underwater wouldn't appear without sonar and then when you finally figured it out you'd have to build torpedo bombers or tons of torpedo platforms depending on if they'd managed to build subs or just underwater buildings.
hmm... hardly recall them building hovercraft except in the levels, rarely in skirmish though, and if they did all they typically would build were the hovercraft gantries. I hardly used hovercrafts myself so I forget what units there were for them. lol yeah, pelicans and gimps are the better way to go and even with the underwater tanks, you really want some pelicans/gimps just in case you run into torpedo platforms and to clear the landing zone, otherwise the crocs always had a hard time getting out of the water before booming and creating a block that would trap the following croc. as for t2 aircraft... they did like the fighters and sending those in sometimes but not often the reapers or brawlers strangely. hmm, thinking about it they didn't do much t1 air either

which is weird cause air craft is like insanely overpowered in ta xD

indeed xD very powerful when used correctly in t2. so are the boats... especially the long range missile ones. oddly the ai never builds those in skirmish either... maybe the makers knew this and didn't want to fight powerful ai... lol. I think the ai's favorite builds are vehicles t1 but mostly t2 and then t1 k-bots.

yeah..it uses a ton of vehicals and kbots. and metal extractors in the middle of flippin nowhere so you have to go over the entire map with a fine tooth comb...

guess the ai figures it'll just have to overwhelm you on the ground and annoy you by building all over with their metal extractors and hidden underwater ships and buildings where there's no point in building underwater. hmm... lol, ai classes: easy, normal, hard, super hard, annoying. xD
