warning, this may caused your head to hurt: "The manga should not be confused with the ani-manga. InuYasha is unusual in that there are two series of manga volumes being published for it. The original manga was drawn by Rumiko Takahashi in black and white. When translated to English, the volumes were flopped so that English speakers could read them from left to right instead of from right to left as is normal in Japan. Thus InuYasha appears to be left-handed in the English manga even though he is really right-handed (as seen in the Japanese manga, anime, and ani-manga). There is another series of manga volumes, called "ani-manga" (a Viz Media trademark), which are derived from the anime (which was based on the original manga with substantial changes). The ani-manga use colored frames from the anime and read from right to left (as in Japan) which is now normal for manga in English. The volumes are slightly smaller, have new cover art, use higher quality paper, and are more expensive than the manga. They are organized into chapters corresponding to the anime episodes." thats right..its a Manga series, based off the Anime, based off the Manga series, which was based off a short story written in 1980. source= en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_InuYasha_chapters
