not a chance. asylums and even institutions once you get diagnosed with certain things they give up completly on treating them with the help they need and just confine you in a way thats easy to handle. They cant predict what some people do so they either drug them up to a point where they can, or restrain them. Which makes it worst, after all how can you tell a paranoid skitsophrenic noones out to get them when they inject them with sedatives and lock him in isolated rooms whenever he speaks or trys to come out of the room.

not really. It cost more to sedate and keep someone alive for a life time then it does to keep them in therapy for around two or three years

but, you forget that those "therapists" charge ridiculous amounts of money. xD plus, they probably would take their sweet time trying to "fix" people and even when they were deemed fit for society, they would still say "you have to come see us, because otherwise you might regress again"

rofl, I doubt they'd be there if they thought their problem could be solved in two years.

with therapy and the right balancing medication that is about how long it takes for most cases to become "acceptable for society" obviously there is more therapy after that like once a week or so..
and therapist might cost alot of money, but one therapist cost less then two people to restrain and administer a expensive medication, which the state pays for, atleast in the other case, insurence pays for part of it

but with the therapist, they'd probably need those too. because... they're inefficient like that.

and you wouldn't want them bashing the therapist on the head and I doubt two grunts like that would make near as much as a special therapist.

unfortunately only a few people make as much money as those guys... seriously doctors and therapists make practically $100 bucks for only seeing you... a minute or 2 ><

oh. i thought that in those... since you're paying you'd usually want good care for your family and wouldn't want to have them drugged all the time?
