pretty much
would've been better and made more sense than shutting down those places.

but they didn't want too >>
or they could have even made a deal with the scanlation sites... to release official english translated versions online. and have people pay a subscription of some sort to read them. then the site would make money and could pay.

theres an idea, could've done that on top of my suggestion, would make a good deal of money that way and promote buying them too

they could even have different options. like, paying for a monthly you can read whatever is in Viz's collection.. or a buy individually option. now... if only i could pose my idea to the viz CEO xD and make millions!

yeah, like buy a subscription to read x, z, and s mangas with exclusive content for z. or just buy a subscription for 3 months to read whatever without special content.
lol, indeed, also assuming you could sway him to see it your way

i mean, if they just charged $1/chapter like itunes... and there are about 10 chapters in the book... they'd be making about the same amount as they would selling the book. and they probably could charge less... as they wouldn't have to pay for printing it out

could easily work with an option like that as well, though I doubt they'd go for the charge less part

yupyup, only could work if you could prove that by charging less they'd make more... and then that would probably not last very long before they decided that prices should be raised

sigh, its like the profit they make just isn't good enough. nooo, now they'll cost more like other fast food restaurants, but still somewhat cheaper.

indeed, I think most of the banks were that way, they never needed bailouts. The just liked the free extra money for parties and big bonuses.
