yeah, you'd think that Tenzin... knowing her nature would have been watching that to make sure she didn't have a chance to speak by herself in front of them. he knew it was coming when he saw that tarloch brought her to the media. police could be afraid as well, tho the task force didn't seem as fearful. xD and i thought that might happen. because Korra was standing on the top, and you could see down below was an entrance to an underground (under-statue?) building. though... you'd think the police would have made sure that was locked down before the meeting... and then kept an eye on it until the meeting so that no one could ambush korra from there. :S another police oversight? or... another part of the plot?! wonder if all the police is metal benders... or not? it'd seem strange to have a bender that's an anti-bender xD unless of course the anti-bending movement is just a front for something else. if that's the case... then there could definitely be some benders involved oooh that's true. somehow that lady was in the spirit world or vice versa. it'd be interesting. yeah... he seems so contradictory... first saying it'd be "easier" if he stopped her now. and then going, but i dont' want a martyr. i think this mind game and fear is part of his plan. guess he thinks he doesn't need to prove he can remove bending, since everyone thinks that he can. and that fear is stronger than him actually acting. yeah... first step Republic city... next step.... the world! lol

That's why Tarlock made sure to make sure it was a huge lavish party... to be sure he could steal Korra away when Tenzin was distracted, which was bound to happen with his kids xD Yup, he suspected it all along, but when they appeared... knew it was coming but nothing he could do to stop it.
Think they are afraid, part of why they bulked up their outfits even more than the past. And why they seem to be useless at night. Yeah... knew that was coming, Amon doesn't really do much out in the open, they like to hide and lurk in the shadows... atm. Definitely wouldn't want to be out in the open when police and task force would be watching outside... so stay inside the statue! There must be some underground link between the statue and the mainland. Could easily have forced earth benders to create it for them, which wouldn't be a surprise. Do it... or we take your bending... Yeah... police should've locked down the inside of the statue and told Korra, we've locked down the statue and then she might have been more cautious seeing its doors wide open... then again maybe not. For being up in the air and having all their quick access wires they can ride on... they seem slow to respond and somewhat... incompetent. Or just incompetent for the plot... or somehow involved in Amon's plot. lol, plot plots.
Those one guards near the pond didn't seem to be metal benders, so there could be two levels of the police. The on the ground non-benders and then the metal benders up in the airships to deal with benders and such. And someone has to be reached in order to call the airships, those people could be non-benders. So any of these could easily be infiltrators for the anti-benders. Or it could be some connection between the police and the anti-benders. Which would be interesting... and if these metal bending police are like the Dai-Lee and see Amon as the real strongest...
Yupyup... so Amon could even be a manifistation of Koh! << not as likely... otherwise the crowd would've lost their faces... unless Koh has a specific range that he affects and so that's why he and all his people really wear masks...
Indeed, fear is a great controller... have to imagine all the gangs are afraid now. And letting the Avatar go in the other episode to let everyone know what she thought she saw for sure would make every bender afraid... like Tarlock who decided to take aggressive action that will probably build his cause... like say by setting up fake anti-bender groups, possibly led by an anti-bender to teach fighting that looks like chi blocking but really wasn't. So when they get hit more non-benders will say, hey! Even our gov't is bender lead and attacking us non-benders! Which makes more fear and more fear means division... control and division. Which makes him kind of like Palpatine. ... and thinking of that makes me wonder if Amon isn't someone out in the open, a public figure in the day, but then evening and night...

that's true... lol he had to go after his little boy... who apparently has never been to social gatherings before! you'd think tho... he'd have one of his friends keep an eye on korra and let him know if Tarloch was doing anything suspicious. (lol I don't like the name tarloch... in a different book, he was also a shady character!)
yeah, hard to tell if it's incompetence... on purpose, or... they're just incompetent! lol or... maybe they're being sabotaged.
and that's true... so maybe the metal benders are like the squat team of police... the prison cells need metal benders, but it looked like they also had other cells. so they probably don't require everyone be a bender. but the metal benders specifically seemed a bit incompetent with their patrols. yeah... lol could be like the dai-lee... following someone elses orders
lol and doesn't seem like something Koh would do.
yep yep. good controller indeed. and yeah... i wonder about who he really is too... must not be one of the council members... they all seemed to be benders... but he probably is high up there.
wonder if asami's dad is a bender... doubt it. wonder if he supports amon too....

Maybe none of Tenzin's friends or supporters were invited. All the other council members went and sided with Tarloch so they'd agree that the Avatar should be on the task force and its unlikely any of the other air nomads were invited. Assuming some White Lotus went... they were probably focused on outward attacks and moreover just couldn't stick by her side, which would have bugged Korra if any had. Meelo... I think he'd do crazy things no matter what. xD Hmm, possibly why Tarloch was given such a name.
Certainly makes you wonder... in dealing with the gangs it could be certain members of the police are bribed too.
Indeed, imagine the metal cells are for benders and then they'd have normal cells for non-benders and non earth benders like water or fire benders who'd have more difficulty breaking out. Also figure the non-benders would want to have members in the police force for equality and such. So yeah, metal benders are probably like the SWAT team. Their late response to the gangs, no response to Amon's attack on the Triads, not locking down the statue, no response to the explosian at Amon's revelation... all make you wonder just what they're up to! I figure the metal benders were originally the Dai-Lee. Dai-Lee were very powerful benders so it wouldn't be a surprise if they could master metal bending because if anyone could do it, it'd be them.
Probably not, Koh would be more interested in grabbing faces... like Korra's rather than creating elaborate chaos. Koh also didn't seem interested in the idea of living in the real world when Aang spoke with him about the moon spirit and Koh said they went to the real world and sounded disapproving.
I figure all the council are benders as well. Amon could be like a sub council member or something or someone rich. Hmm, and Amon would need some wealth to develope his suits and weapons... so Sato could be in league with him... hmmmm. Thinking about it, in the revelation eppie, they said all the gangs were on edge. Why choose the Triple Threats? Obvious reason to show he could disable any bending type/inspire fear in them all... but why was Bolin last? I can certainly bet that Amon was not clueless as to the Avatar becoming a member of the Ferrets... and Bolin being a Ferret, would that not draw the Avatar? After all, Amon said what greater witness than the Avatar? Also consider, Amon was about to grab Bolin when the steam exploded. But didn't. Do you think he'd honestly panick at an explosian? Especially if he does have that ability? And yet instead he disappeared. Almost as if he knew she'd be there. And why not, why wouldn't that one anti-bender speaker alert the others? Of course I figure Amon knew she'd come as soon as they grabbed Bolin and Amon probably did his research and knew that Bolin and Mako had been in the Triple Threats, and seeing as they were still in competition that they'd need a lot of cash fast. Where else turn but to the gangs if the gangs had a need for muscle? Now what about the Satos? Unlikely that either one is a bender. And so very interesting that Mr. Sato was so interested in Mako and making sure he made the tournament... and was it really just a coincidence that she ran into Mako? Could be. She seemed pretty quick to invite him to a date... and connecting her and Mako would get them access to Korra. May even be that the anti-bender speaker noticed the two sleeping against each other and told Amon that as well. Amon seems to love getting at the Avatar, why not at her relationships too? Not hard to imagine he'd be vested in seeing her team fail at probending in order to create a bad reflection on Korra's abilities. Another thing about Mr. Sato... he's rich and if he is in league with Amon, he'd have the money to easily bribe the metal benders, probably not Lin, but she seems to be in charge overall, more likely her second in command or someone more in command of the metal benders. <- all this assuming Amon is on Palpatine's level of cunning. Which he seems to be.

yeah you'd think that the white lotus guards would have been there... and Tenzin would have had one of them look out for her... xD and yeah... meelo is weird... i don't think i like him as much as his sisters... indeed. have to wonder how those dynamics work. it'd be nice to find out more. maybe have an episode related more to lin... and have flashbacks with toph and the gaang... to find out more about the police and their leaders yep yep. probably based on the dai lee remnants. yeah... the gangs knew something was up. probably heard rumors of the equalists doing something... or... the equalists started rumors between the gangs.... (kinda like how in durara the gang wars escalated from all the rumors going on) that's another good point. there is a good chance that the equalists recognized Bolin... and then figured there might be a rescue attempt... and he probably kept an eye on Korra when he saw the press announcements that she arrived in town. so probably had a minion somewhere that keeps track of her whereabouts yeah, dunno... certainly does seem suspicious. asami kind of reminds me of lust. she looks pretty and nice, but then will stab you in the back have to wonder if there's some other purpose that she has for hanging out with mako. wonder if she'll be in the next episode much...

Meelo is a bit weird... which is why I think Oogie or Oppi bit his head... lol. The middle sister, Ikki, reminds me of that one one girl who had a crush on Aang when they met the forture teller.
Figure they'll show more of that gradually... hopefully. Think Lin will gradually be somewhat more integral to the story to at least Tenzin's level. More flashbacks would be awesome! Hmm, maybe Korra will ask Lin more about that character Aang faced off against. He had to have been brought up for a reason...
That's what I was thinking too, just like Durarara.... stirring up the gangs. So its like... Palpatine meets Izaya = Amon. Kinda scary, but funny too.
Indeed, Amon doesn't seem to be a clueless kind of baddie. He knows what's going on and where and who's who. So even if Bolin wasn't a direct target and getting Korra to see was just a benefitial accident... as soon as he saw they had Bolin he'd have known Korra would come, especially when they confronted one of his public speakers. Wonder if the task force will start arresting those guys... probably not. Might start spying on them though.
lol! Hmm, she does have certain qualities like Lust, the black dark wavy-ish hair and such. Then also in the way she acts like how Lust acted to get info. Just wouldn't be surprising if she didn't have an alternative motive, working for Amon or her dad or both. Watching the eppie she did seem to be gunning it as he ran into the street. Figure she'll be in it some, seems like it'll be mostly pro-bending though.

yep yep. something must have happened to him... :S and lol she does kind of. i like the two girls teasing korra about mako it's pretty funny xD yeah i think she'll have a larger role too. and even if korra doesn't like her now... i think that eventually they'll come to an understanding. probably. we might see more about that too! and find out how it ties into the present lol yep yep. tho, izaya was weird because... he just did everything to toy with people yeah, probably capturing Bolin was an accident. and... Bolin wasn't even a prominent member of those gangs... so showing him get his bending removed in front of everyone... would have been pointless. those other guys looked like they were head guys. and clearly you could tell Bolin was just a "lackey"... if the police were on top of things... they'd already have undercover members.... yep yep. in looks and acts.

Yeah, they're pretty funny... they could tell who Korra liked. Seems like Korra is more open to talking with them rather than Tenzin or Peema. Their ideas on love were hilarious xD Jump in a volcano!
Yupyup, I think Lin's real issue is she feels like Korra is going to replace her role in policing the city, making her feel like she's lost her usefullness. But once she's figured out that Korra isn't out to take her place but work together, then they'll get along better. Figure we should at least get to know more about whatever Yakon was doing and how it ultimately ended.
xD Amon didn't get the weird bit, but he did get the toying bit as he toys with Korra.
The leader of the Triple Threats was prominent and maybe that water guy, but the others were all lackeys. Doubt all the head members of a gang would gather together under threat which would make them more vulnerable/a bigger target.
Could be the police already have done so, but unlikely. Tarloch's task force on the other hand probably will try, if they can find anyone brave enough.
Pretty much all she does is snuggle him and ooh and ahh at everything... not much in common so it's clear she's trying to win him over physically.

yeah, their stories and advice were hilarious! guess they seem like little sisters to korra. now... what would have been funny is if korra tried their advice! and... when peema said she told tenzin how she felt and stole him away from the other girl... wonder if that other girl was Lin... or someone esle xD indeed. doesn't want to be replaced by a kid... who doesn't even care/know about the city like she does. i think they'll get along better too yeah did exactly what she had nightmares about with his hands... and then stopped. yep. you'd think he wouldn't show off doing lackeys xD maybe non-bender police wouldn't feel so bad about infiltrating yeah. and give him money. guess it's working tho because clearly Mako decided to stick with her than give Korra a chance... even after she kissed him and you could clearly see he did have feelings for her XD

I think so, think Korra likes having that since when she was training in the South Pole in that White Lotus place she really didn't have anyone except maybe Katarra and her parents to talk to but no siblings or really anyone else her age.
xD That could be it... might explain some of the tension between Lin and Tenzin.
Just like her nightmare... only no Koga to interrupt it. So if she was having nightmares about that before, wouldn't be surprised if she had even more now! Then again maybe not, maybe Tenzin helped her through that. Hard to say since it seems like they skipped a month or two ahead. Not sure though.
That could be too, could be some non-bender police were sent to infiltrate so that they wouldn't risk doing any bending and giving themselves away... and because the bending ones might have been afraid to. Though if they weren't before, the bending police would be now!
Could be now though that Mako is sticking with her for the money and doesn't want to hurt his chances at continued sponsorship nor hurt Sato. But yeah, Korra knows he does have some feelings for her and he certainly knows it himself moreso but still is relunctant to acknowledge it fully. Poor Bolin... Mako is stealing all the ladies...

yeah, she probably was lonely... being an only child and protected in that palace. it didn't look like she had any friends there. and don't think there were any white lotus guardians her age. especially when she was little xD
yeah. they always seem to be on edge. which you would think they wouldn't since their parents were friends.... so something happened between them.
yeah, it looks like a few weeks passed... probably after admitting her fear, the nightmares were less, and if she did have more, she could talk to Tenzin again
might also be hard for some of the benders to control their emotions... and not accidentally bend. rofl that'd really blow your cover!
yeah. i also think he doesn't want to "like" Korra... because she's not very girly and pretty... but Asami is girly and pretty. xD and probably doesn't want to lose the sponsorship and feel guilty about taking her money and then hurting her feelings.
and yeah, poor lil Bolin. at least he has pabu for company xD

Indeed, she was mostly just... contained for her safety with White Lotus people everywhere watching her. Would've been hard to friend any of them, especially when she was a kid!
Something had to have happened that set them apart because they clearly had their differences well before Korra got there.
Seeing snow was neat. Didn't really see any changes in the seasons in the first series.
That's true, like Korra had trouble controlling hers for sure! Toph and Katarra had issues holding theirs in control sometimes as well.
Not girly enough xD Hmmm, too much like his brother perhaps. He probably likes the attention Asami gives as well.
Good thing he has Pabu, he'd be really lonely otherwise.

yeah. lol she kind of reminds me of a spoiled princess. where they are overly protected and don't have any friends their own age
indeed.
nope. the only changes were the locations. and even then didn't see much snow in the poles
yep yep. especially when they're mad xD
yeah, probably. lol she seems more like his brother's friend than girl friend material xD
yep yep. especially when they're in that tower all the time

xD She never did have any want for anything money or food wise, but could've used friends. Think they went a bit overboard in her protection.
There was that one evening snow storm in the north pole when Zuko caught Aang as he was in the spirit world, but that was pretty much it. Oh, and then the rainstorm in that other episode where they remembered the past.
Mad benders are quick to bend hmm yes.
That and he doesn't want to feel like he is dating his brother xD
Not much to do up there but train for pro bending. Pabu gave him something to do, training Pabu!

yeah, i think so too. don't know if that's what Aang really had in mind. i think all he wanted to do was make sure that a whole race didn't get wiped out again in an attempt to kill the avatar. i mean, he liked playing and having friends when he was little, and it upset him to find out he was the avatar and had to go to special training oh that's true. just a few... and they were storms xD yep yep. so true. they need to be more in touch with their spiritual side... tenzin might say rofl, yeah, that'd be strange. he probably gets tired of having to take care of his brother all the time, and wants a break... so he wouldn't want to spend his free time watching out for her either xD and he did train Pabu to do some neat things!
